Vendarra comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Metallica - Of Wolf And Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kirov Sturmovik could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bob Vendarra's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirov Sturmovik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Vendarra!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sturmovik clinches with his opponent.
Our sources have told us that Sturmovik has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Sturmovik throws a knee to the head but misses.
Vendarra is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vendarra is trying to push Sturmovik away but Sturmovik has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Vendarra escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vendarra connects with the punch.

Sturmovik fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vendarra, pushing him back against the cage.

Vendarra breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vendarra uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sturmovik.
Vendarra misses with a straight right.
Kirov Sturmovik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sturmovik clinches.
Vendarra wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sturmovik has him pressed against the cage.
Sturmovik prevents Vendarra from breaking the clinch.
Vendarra is trying to break free.

Vendarra escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sturmovik stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sturmovik fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vendarra on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sturmovik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vendarra moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sturmovik swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vendarra circles away from the clinch attempt
and Vendarra counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sturmovik connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Vendarra takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Sturmovik counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
