The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tan keeps the fight on the outside.
Tan shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tan passes into half guard.
Tan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Tan has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tan has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Jones is forced to tap!
