Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anson Jones (ranked 4893 p4p, 24431 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anson Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salvacion looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jones!
Jones is looking to reverse the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion trying to control the position but Jones is working away.
Jones manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Jones trying to pass the guard but Salvacion defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control.
Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.
Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Salvacion.

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Salvacion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Salvacion controlling the position for now.
Jones with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Anson Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Salvacion.

Jones drives through with a takedown into Salvacion's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jones postures up in Salvacion's guard and throws a big left but Salvacion blocks it.

Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Salvacion is proving hard to escape from.
Salvacion can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Salvacion defends the submission attempt.
Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Salvacion.

Jones prevents Salvacion from improving his position.

Salvacion trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Salvacion is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Jones with a body shot.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Salvacion back into the cage.
Salvacion wants a takedown.
Jones managing to block the knees to the body from Salvacion.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Salvacion or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad.

Salvacion avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Anson Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones tries to clinch but Salvacion is having none of it.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salvacion sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jones is thwarting Salvacion's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Salvacion blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.

Jones takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Jones working Salvacion over with strikes.

Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Jones fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Salvacion to the ground. Jones is now in Salvacion's guard.
Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones forces his way into half guard.
Salvacion avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Jones content to control rather than advance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jones lands a nice shot to the head.
