Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mysterious Mike (ranked 25366 p4p, 5759 weight class) and Earl Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earl Walker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mysterious Mike! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Earl Walker! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker gets caught napping as Mike dives in and scores a takedown. Walker manages to retain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walker pulls Mike in to control the position. Mike stopping the sweep attempt from Walker. Mike postures up.
Walker wants to sweep here but Mike controlling him for the moment. Mike trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Walker keeping moving, preventing Mike from controlling successfully. Walker has an active guard here but Mike has managed to pass into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mike is trying to control the action in half guard but Walker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mike thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Walker is trying to get back to full guard. Walker is pressing down on Mike's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mike won't allow Walker to get back to his feet. Walker is trying to control the position but Mike postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mike looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walker is fending him off so far but Mike persists. Nope, Walker circles away and we're back to standing. Walker throws a sloppy head kick and Mike moves out of range easily. Mike takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mike checks a leg kick. Walker moves into the clinch. Mike being controlled against the cage. Walker can't find room to land a body shot as Mike controls the action.
Walker drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Walker manages to break the clinch.
Mike throws a lazy body kick and Walker counters with a takedown into side control. Walker is chipping away with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mike tries to bench press Walker off him but Walker keeps the position. Mike manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Mike is just content to waste time from the top position. Walker takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Mike has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mike being controlled here momentarily. Walker is looking to stand back up but Mike counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Walker. Walker keeping control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth. Walker flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Walker tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mike wants to free his trapped foot but Walker is holding on for dear life with his legs. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mike in particular looking to stall. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mysterious Mike will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Walker throws a head kick but Mike moves out of range.
Mike avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mike shoots for a double leg takedown but Walker sprawls well. He's pushed Mike's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mike misses with a series of wild punches.
Walker appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Walker darts in looking for a takedown but Mike gets double underhooks and turns Walker into the cage. Walker has managed to clinch.
Walker gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mike kicks Walker off and gets back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mike shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Walker. Walker lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mike keeps working. Walker tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Walker staying calm. Mike tries to buck Walker off but Walker is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Walker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mike's legs. Walker tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Mike wants to control but Walker postures up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Walker trying to control the action but Mike is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Walker looks for a takedown but Mike sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mike has Walker up against the cage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Walker jumps guard but Mike stands there with Walker around his waist. Walker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mysterious Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earl Walker. Walker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Walker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Walker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Walker holds on and takes a little breather. Walker looking for a sweep. Not yet Walker, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mike accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Walker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mike escapes and throws Walker's legs to the side, diving into side control! Mike decides to stand back up. Mike steps back and let's Walker get back to his feet. Mike takes the fight into the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Walker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mike blocks it with crossed arms. Walker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mysterious Mike will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! No luck with that takedown attempt from Mike. Mike fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walker avoids it really well and circles away. Walker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mike manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Walker keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mike misses with the combination.
Walker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Walker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mike stuffs the takedown. Mike tries to close the distance and clinch but Walker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mike will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mysterious Mike. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mike darts in looking for a takedown but Walker gets double underhooks and turns Mike into the cage. Walker gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mike regains guard.
Walker is standing up over Mike. Mike looks to escape but Walker dives into side control.
Walker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mike has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Mike is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Earl Walker!
