Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dabi Cut (ranked 6455 p4p, 4946 weight class) and Franky Rodgers (ranked 0 p4p, 425 weight class). The key to victory for Dabi Cut has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dabi Cut! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Franky Rodgers! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cut gets a takedown into half guard. Cut definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rodgers is looking to improve his position.
Rodgers moves into full guard.
Cut stops Rodgers from standing up. Cut trying to control the position from guard on top but Rodgers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodgers seems keen to control Cut's posture. Cut trying to control but Rodgers is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Cut trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Rodgers manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Rodgers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rodgers cracks Cut with a solid left hand. Cut trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodgers content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Rodgers connects with a couple of short punches. Rodgers cracks Cut with a solid left hand. Rodgers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rodgers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rodgers stands up over Cut, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cut being controlled here, momentarily. Cut is trying to keep Rodgers in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodgers scoring with some ground and pound. Rodgers pushes down on Cut's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rodgers lands a nice short elbow. Cut wants to get back to his feet.

Cut throws a strike but Rodgers avoids it easily and moves to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodgers avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rodgers has Cut pulled in close to control his posture. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodgers can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cut looking to sit in guard and control but Rodgers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rodgers won't allow Cut to sweep him here. Cut not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rodgers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cut is being controlled here. Check out the look on Rodgers's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rodgers content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Rodgers is continuing to stall. Rodgers is putting a hurting on Cut here, landing some big shots from side control. Cut tries to buck Rodgers off but Rodgers is having none of it. Rodgers is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cut's shoulder. That is not cool. Rodgers working the ground and pound. Rodgers happy to just control the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodgers working away. Rodgers scoring with punches from side control. Rodgers is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cut will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Rodgers has hold of Cut's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cut seems comfortable defending it but Rodgers has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cut is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cut is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rodgers couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Franky Rodgers! Dabi Cut spoke after the fight, saying 'Losing is part of learning, I lose today but I will come back stronger next time.'.
