Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Minamino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hamzat Hoogo!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoogo closes the distance and pushes Minamino back into the cage.
Hoogo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hoogo tries to stall but Minamino uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hoogo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Minamino works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Minamino avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Minamino slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Minamino tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hoogo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Minamino is trying to get an arm triangle but Hoogo is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoogo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hoogo looking for submissions off his back.
Minamino is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hoogo is just riding it out for now. Minamino eventually gives up the hold.
Minamino is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hoogo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Minamino.
Hoogo is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Minamino is tapping! Great win for Hoogo!
