Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Conor Aldo (ranked 2857 p4p, 1885 weight class) and Repus Revorg (ranked 342 p4p, 244 weight class). Aldo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Foggy Dew. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Repus Revorg was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Repus Revorg!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Bruno Hogan and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Revorg cracks a nice hook into Aldo's ribs.
Revorg throws a body punch but Aldo moves out of range.
Aldo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Revorg dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Revorg throws a low kick, looking for Aldo's leg but Aldo calmly moves out of range.
Aldo tried to counter with a leg kick but Revorg avoided it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Revorg has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Aldo is trying to keep an underhook but Revorg manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Aldo is trying to escape back to his feet but Revorg uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Revorg lands a decent elbow from side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Aldo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Revorg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Revorg has an Americana. Aldo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Revorg is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Revorg hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

During a confident post fight interview, Repus Revorg thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Conor Aldo spoke after the fight, saying 'I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed.
I will never apologize for taking a shot.
