Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Landon McGuire (ranked 515 p4p, 721 weight class) and Kiryu Kazuma (ranked 73 p4p, 106 weight class). McGuire comes to the cage accompanied by Godsmack - When Legends Rise. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire throws a hook but Kazuma blocks it.
McGuire throws the left hand but Kazuma avoids the punch easily.

It looks like Landon McGuire has been cut.
Kiryu Kazuma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McGuire tries a body shot but Kazuma blocks it.
McGuire struggles to land a body shot inside as Kazuma controls his hands.

McGuire is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kazuma is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McGuire to the mat. McGuire regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

McGuire is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
McGuire does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kazuma! But no joy.
McGuire tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

McGuire avoids the head kick by Kazuma.
McGuire avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kazuma throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGuire.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fight stays on the outside here - Kazuma looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McGuire is trying to pull guard but Kazuma turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

and Kazuma takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kazuma throws a right and a left that McGuire avoids nicely.
As Kazuma backs away, McGuire returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kazuma misses with a hook. McGuire ducked under it nicely.
McGuire walks into a stiff left hand from Kazuma.

Kazuma cracks McGuire with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! McGuire looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kazuma finish him?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kazuma has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McGuire throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kazuma on the side of the head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McGuire throws a hook to the side of Kazuma's head but Kazuma sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

McGuire pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kazuma back to the cage. McGuire follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Kazuma bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McGuire's head.

Kazuma tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McGuire manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McGuire swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
McGuire throws a leg kick which misses Kazuma's front leg but catches the back leg as Kazuma tries to avoid it.
Kazuma flashes McGuire a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. McGuire's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. McGuire crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Kazuma punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
