Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doppo Orochi (ranked 537 p4p, 658 weight class) and Tyson James (ranked 78 p4p, 91 weight class). Orochi's entrance music is RISE - I Prevail. A fine choice. Doppo Orochi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 41 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doppo Orochi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson James! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Orochi to the ground. James is now in Orochi's guard. James is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. James throws a big elbow that misses. Orochi keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully. James distracts Orochi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. James throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Orochi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. James trying to control but Orochi is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James with a flurry of punches that miss. Orochi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst James is controlling him. James trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orochi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Orochi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst James is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. James takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Orochi falls off balance throwing a combination
letting James counter with a right hand. James checks a leg kick nicely. Orochi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jamess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! James tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Orochi defends well and James ends up having to push Orochi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Orochi as he avoids it easily. James closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Orochi quickly recovers to half guard. Orochi kicks off James and gets to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A low kick from Orochi misses and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. James trying to work for an americana but Orochi has managed to regain full guard.
James must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. James wants to control from the top but Orochi keeps moving. James throwing strikes from guard but Orochi blocks nicely. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Orochi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Orochi being controlled here, momentarily. James wants to pass the guard but Orochi is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orochi wants to stand but James is controlling the position. James throws an elbow that misses. Orochi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Orochi! Orochi tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard. James is pulling down on Orochi's head. It's preventing any offense from Orochi, at least for the moment. Orochi wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Orochi wants to stand and escape but instead James has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. James tries to free his leg and advance position but Orochi is retaining full guard. James throws a big right hand that misses. James in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. James loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. James working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Orochi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Orochi wants to stand up but James is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tyson James will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Orochi misses the shot to the body. An inside leg kick from Orochi misses. The crowd cheers as Orochi lands an impressive looking overhand right. James doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Tyson James has been cut. A head kick by Orochi misses and James counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Orochi! James goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Orochi has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for James but great work by Orochi. James is looking for a sweep. Orochi is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt James will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Orochi stands up. Orochi misses with a leg kick and James counters with a single leg into guard. Orochi didn't expect that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James stops Orochi from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. James postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Orochi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst James is controlling him. James throws a big right hand that misses. James looking to sit in guard and control but Orochi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. James has Orochi pulled in close to control his posture. James trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. James looking to control.
Orochi controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Orochi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. James tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tyson James has got the better of the ground game so far. James pulls Orochi in to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James shoots for a takedown but Orochi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Orochi works the jab nicely. James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Orochi as he avoids it easily. And Orochi counters with a quick kick to the body but James blocks it. Doppo Orochi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Orochi throws a leg kick and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Orochi's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. James looking to pass the guard. Orochi is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. James presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Orochi is trying to force a seperation but James has the dominant position. Orochi can't break the clinch.
Orochi misses with a punch on the inside.
James goes for a takedown in the clinch but Orochi prevents it.
Doppo Orochi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson James.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James jumps guard but Orochi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Orochi can't find room to land a body shot as James controls the action.
James blocks a body shot from Orochi. Orochi scores with a hook to the body. Orochi lands with a short head shot on the inside. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Orochi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Come on James - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Good leg kick by Orochi. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Doppo Orochi dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Tyson James's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! James moves out of range as Orochi throws a body kick.
James will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Orochi half committed to a counter leg kick. James has his takedown stuffed and Orochi counters with a lovely straight right hand! Orochi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Orochi is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Orochi circles away and we're back to standing. Doppo Orochi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson James. James manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Orochi on his heels. He'll look to pass Orochi's guard now, I'm sure. James throws a strike but Orochi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Orochi stands up. James stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Orochi. James fails with a takedown attempt. James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Orochi scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Orochi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. James slips under a jab from Orochi. James is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Orochi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from James. Orochi throws a big shot that misses. Orochi sets himself, and James steps forward looking for the clinch! Orochi avoids it this time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Orochi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. James needs to keep his hands up - Orochi had a free shot at his head there. Tyson James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. James fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Orochi to the ground. James is now in Orochi's guard. Orochi pushes James off and gets back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Doppo Orochi showed his dominance in that final round. Well Orochi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Doppo Orochi! A relieved looking Doppo Orochi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Tyson James was interviewed post fight and said 'When I am defeated, I stay humble. I'd like to thank my friends, my family, and all of my fans for giving me this career. This was likely the last fight in my career and I just want everybody to know I loved doing this. Thank you all! '.
