Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jayden James (ranked 4363 p4p, 5211 weight class) and Nicholas Timmons (ranked 559 p4p, 618 weight class). Nicholas Timmons will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jayden James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nicholas Timmons! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A nice combination there by Timmons.
Timmons ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Timmons tries to sprawl but James drives through with a takedown into half guard. James has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Timmons is trying desperately to improve position. James working for a guillotine from mount but Timmons is in no mood to give up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Timmons to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Timmons shrugs it off. Timmons really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. James looking to secure an arm triangle but Timmons defends it well. James jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Timmons manages to avoid the submission attempt. James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Timmons, who protects the arm well. Timmons is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. James tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. James is trying to get an arm triangle but Timmons is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James is breathing heavily. James is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Timmons is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Timmons manages to get back to half guard. Timmons actively working from the bottom here. James wants to work for an arm triangle but Timmons is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Timmons looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Timmons is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but James pulls his head out easily. James is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Timmons wants to control but James is keeping busy.

Timmons looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. James tries to pass the half guard into mount. Timmons knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Timmons is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but James pulls his head out easily. James is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Timmons defends it well. Timmons actively working from the bottom here. James is looking for a kimura but Timmons is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for James to get the leverage. James is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are battling for position here. Timmons manages to regain full guard. Nice work. James is looking to pass into half guard but Timmons pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Timmons is in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Timmons wants to get up but he can't break James's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Timmons wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. Timmons has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of James is proving hard to escape from. Timmons must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. James looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Timmons has picked James up and slammed him! James can't keep hold of the triangle and Timmons manages to pass to side control! Timmons tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Timmons passes to full mount! That's big trouble for James! Timmons tries to control but James wriggling away. Timmons might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control James haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Timmons is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. James can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nicholas Timmons will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! James tries for a takedown but Timmons circles away easily and Timmons counters with a nice body shot. Timmons lands with a kick to the temple. James shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Timmons pinned against the cage. Timmons gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Timmons closes the distance and lands a one-two. Nice uppercut there from Timmons. Timmons lands a body shot.
Nicholas Timmons seems to be getting the better of the standup. James takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nicholas Timmons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. James shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Timmons as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jayden James. That's going to take a lot out of him. James chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Timmons can pounce on him.
A head kick from Timmons lands but James takes it in his stride. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice sprawl there from Timmons as James shoots in.
That's one minute gone in the round. Timmons lands a big head kick that sends James tumbling to the mat! Timmons takes a step backwards and waves James back to his feet - he wants the finish!
James is rocked! Look low, kick high! Timmons uses the oldest trick in the book to send James tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Timmons is absolutely delighted - when James wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
