Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Mamar (ranked 1698 p4p, 2912 weight class) and Bruce Hood (ranked 212 p4p, 352 weight class). Mamar comes to the cage accompanied by Slipkibieber - Psychosocial Babe. Kevin Mamar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Mamar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Hood!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamar lands a nice shot that snaps Hood's head back.
Mamar ducks under a wild hook from Hood.
Hood dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mamar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hood manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mamar is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hood throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mamar clobbers Hood with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Hood is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mamar asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Hood is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mamar has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mamar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hood takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mamar lands a strong strike to the head of Hood. That's dazed him! Mamar looking to finish here. Hood is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mamar lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
