Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kobashigawa Jakuchu (ranked 5538 p4p, 5412 weight class) and Billy Fischer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Fischer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kobashigawa Jakuchu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Billy Fischer! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jakuchu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jakuchu fails with a takedown attempt. Fischer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A little jabbing left from Fischer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jakuchu trying to control but Fischer is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jakuchu is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fischer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jakuchu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fischer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fischer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jakuchu back to the cage. Fischer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Kobashigawa Jakuchu has been cut. Fischer stuffs the takedown. Jakuchu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fischer's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jakuchu looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jakuchu drops back for a leg! Here we go, back to the action! Jakuchu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Fischer leaves Jakuchu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fischer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jakuchu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fischer as he jumps to the side. Jakuchu shoots in for a takedown but Fischer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jakuchu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jakuchu lands in his opponent's guard. Jakuchu sitting in guard here, content to control. Jakuchu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fischer defends it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jakuchu wants to free his trapped foot but Fischer is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fischer wants to get back to full guard. Jakuchu maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Fischer could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jakuchu has cracked it and Fischer is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jakuchu!
