Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Scooter Coltraine (ranked 24064 p4p, 2953 weight class) and Paul OConnell (ranked 685 p4p, 355 weight class). Paul OConnell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scooter Coltraine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 34 - 26 - 1, fighting out of New York, Paul OConnell! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coltraine avoids a punch combination nicely.
Coltraine cracks a nice hook into OConnell's ribs. OConnell throws a hook but Coltraine blocks it. Coltraine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice defenses there by OConnell. Coltraine moves in looking to clinch but OConnell pushes him off. No joy there for OConnell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Coltraine takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
OConnell closes the distance and pushes Coltraine back into the ropes. Coltraine tries to break the clinch but OConnell is controlling the position. OConnell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coltraine working hard to break the clinch. OConnell lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. OConnell lands with a right to the head. Coltraine is trying to break the clinch but OConnell is controlling him. OConnell blocks an uppercut.
OConnell lands a nice elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. OConnell lands a hook that snaps the head of Coltraine backwards. Good body shot from OConnell.
OConnell works on Coltraine's body with a couple of short punches. Coltraine is breathing heavily. OConnell lands a body shot in the clinch.

OConnell lands with a short head shot on the inside. OConnell lands a nice uppercut. Coltraine wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but OConnell has him pressed against the ropes. OConnell lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Scooter Coltraine has been cut. OConnell scores with an uppercut up the middle. OConnell utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. OConnell lands a right hand that snaps the head of Coltraine backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Good body shot from OConnell.
A shot in the inside from OConnell. OConnell cracks Coltraine with a nice body shot. OConnell digs a right hand underneath Coltraine's ribcage. Coltraine let out a lung full of air as it connected. Nice elbow from OConnell. Knees in the clinch landing for OConnell.
That's two minutes gone in the round. OConnell gets through Coltraine's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. OConnell lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Coltraine or not. A short right from OConnell. OConnell lands a body shot. OConnell is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Coltraine is defending well for now. OConnell lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Coltraine. OConnell working Coltraine over with knees to the body. A short left from OConnell. OConnell creates a bit of distance and cracks Coltraine with a big uppercut! Coltraine goes down! The referee pushes OConnell away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Coltraine make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! OConnell takes it!
