Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Judas Priest (ranked 2443 p4p, 4645 weight class) and Project One (ranked 374 p4p, 617 weight class). Project One has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Judas Priest's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Judas Priest! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Project One! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Priest lands the left hand. One lands a nice leg kick that just misses Priest's sensitive parts. Priest shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. One manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Priest passes into half guard. One actively working from the bottom here. Priest thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed One's head. Priest trying to control the pace. Ground and pound from Priest. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Priest takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Priest is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down One for as long as he can get away with. Priest has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Priest has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Priest content to control rather than advance. Priest is nestled in close to One, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. One looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. One wants to control but Priest is keeping busy and won't allow it. One tries to roll over but Priest keeps him under control.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks One with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Priest with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. One is looking for a sweep. Priest is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Priest is trying for a kimura here. One looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Priest wins by kimura!
