Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chiharu Shiba (ranked 5035 p4p, 5398 weight class) and Matthew Quigley (ranked 629 p4p, 648 weight class). Shiba's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sick Puppies - Survive. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chiharu Shiba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Quigley! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quigley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shiba to the mat! Shiba manages to get full guard. Shiba looking to hit a scissor sweep but Quigley is one step ahead there. Shiba is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chiharu Shiba. Well Shiba has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Chiharu Shiba wins by unanimous decision! After the fight, Chiharu Shiba was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
