Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Moses King (ranked 3889 p4p, 4324 weight class) and Mason Marmot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moses King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mason Marmot ! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King throws a shot from downtown. Marmot moves away and avoids it. King tries to sprawl but Marmot drives through with a takedown into half guard. King kicks Marmot off and gets back to his feet. Marmot fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging King to the ground. Marmot is now in King's guard. King is breathing heavily. King uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. King tries to keep at a distance but Marmot has taken the fight into the clinch. Marmot 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Marmot shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. King is trying to escape back to his feet but Marmot uses the scramble to pass into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marmot thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. King is trying to strike from the bottom but Marmot has passed into full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marmot tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. King is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marmot controlling from the full mount. Marmot lands with some vicious ground and pound - can King hang on? King is looking to get to half guard. Marmot is landing with some decent strikes but King is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Marmot takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Let's hope that Marmot has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Marmot cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Marmot has control of King's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and King regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Marmot unloading with bombs! The referee warns King that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Mason Marmot dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Marmot fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. King looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Marmot moves into range and clinches up with King. Marmot has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics King uses from the top position. Marmot trying to control the position here. Marmot 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Marmot has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Marmot wants to sweep here but King controlling him for the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marmot can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marmot is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. That's one minute gone in the round. Marmot pulls King in close to his closed guard and prevents King from doing any damage or advancing position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Marmot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. King doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. King manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Marmot drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Marmot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Marmot advances position into side control! Marmot decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marmot moves into the clinch successfully.
Marmot breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Marmot clinches with his opponent.
Marmot gets a trip takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! King on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Marmot content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marmot stands up and beckons King to join him on the feet. Marmot shoots in and gets a takedown into King's guard. Marmot is standing up over King. King looks to escape but Marmot dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Marmot wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Marmot decides to stand back up. Marmot steps back and let's King get back to his feet. Marmot throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Marmot throws a head kick that misses. Marmot feints and as King raises his hands in defense, Marmot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. King wants to stand up but Marmot is controlling him. King looking to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Marmot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round! King misses with a body shot
and Marmot counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Marmot throws an elbow that misses.
Marmot jumps guard and drags King to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Marmot wants to sweep here but King controlling him for the moment. Marmot bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard. King has momentary wrist control but Marmot slips an elbow through the middle. Marmot 's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marmot distracts King with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marmot scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Marmot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Marmot scoring with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marmot 's corner is telling him to maintain position. Marmot scoring with punches to the head and body. Marmot gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Marmot closes the distance and pushes King back into the cage. Marmot 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Some wild striking there from Marmot .

Marmot is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and King defends it well. King trying to get back to full guard but Marmot takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! A nice elbow there by Marmot . Marmot controlling from mount.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Marmot breaks from King's wrist control and lands an elbow. Marmot raining down hammerfists from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marmot takes a little breather and maintains the position. Mason Marmot is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Marmot lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Mason Marmot comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Marmot has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
