Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Piston Hurricane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jean Sebastian Joly!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Hurricane, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joly wants to counter the offense by Hurricane and move into the clinch position.
Joly connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hurricane momentarily.
Joly scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Joly connects with a body shot.
Hurricane swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Joly moves into the clinch.
Joly works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
We've been hearing reports that Hurricane has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Hurricane blocks an uppercut.
Joly misses with a punch to the body.
Joly working aggressively here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Joly.
Hurricane changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Joly fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Joly tests Hurricane's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hurricane keeps the fight on the outside.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Joly, as that shot connected.
Hurricane takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hurricane avoids the body shot from Joly.
Joly lands a big uppercut and Hurricane crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hurricane looks OK. Joly waves Hurricane back to his feet!
Hurricane is rocked!
Hurricane throws a body punch but Joly moves out of range.
Joly steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Hurricane.
Oh Hurricane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Joly lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Joly cracks Hurricane on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hurricane falls backwards against the cage. Joly follows up with more strikes that drop Hurricane to his knees. Joly keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hurricane! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Sebastian Joly!
