Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Janssen (ranked 2871 p4p, 2878 weight class) and Franko Getaldic (ranked 382 p4p, 383 weight class). Wesley Janssen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wesley Janssen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Franko Getaldic! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Janssen shoots in but no luck this time. Janssen shoots in looking for a takedown. Getaldic tries to sprawl out of it but Janssen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Getaldic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck for Janssen with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wesley Janssen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Getaldic leaves Janssen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Janssen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Janssen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janssen scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Janssen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Janssen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Janssen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Janssen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Ground and pound from Janssen. Janssen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Janssen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Getaldic has hold of Janssen's hands but Janssen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Getaldic is refusing to be controlled, as Janssen sits in half guard. Getaldic is trying to get back to full guard. Janssen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Getaldic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Janssen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Janssen scoring with strikes to the body and head. Janssen is trying to control. Getaldic wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Janssen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nice strikes from Janssen there.
Getaldic is rocked! Janssen is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Getaldic is hurt! He's hurt bad - Janssen fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Getaldic from any more punishment! Congratulations to Janssen! Great finish!
