Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Schlunckr Diesel (ranked 1212 p4p, 1795 weight class) and Marlin Paschal (ranked 153 p4p, 221 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paschal throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Diesel seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Diesel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Paschal, pushing him back against the cage.

Paschal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Paschal takes a swing at Diesel's ribcage but misses.
Diesel was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Paschal gets tackled into the cage by Diesel. Diesel maintains the clinch.

Paschal's coach down at Big Island Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Paschal's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Paschal is trying to push Diesel away but Diesel has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A relieved looking Schlunckr Diesel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
