Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clem Davy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Adams!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Clem Davy has been cut.
Adams stuffs the takedown.
Davy wants to clinch up but Adams keeps it at a distance.
Davy shoots in for a takedown but Adams shows good takedown defense.
Adams tries to counter by closing the distance.
Adams shoots for a double leg takedown but Davy sprawls well. He's pushed Adams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Adams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Adams wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clem Davy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nice takedown defense from Adams. No joy for Davy on that attempt.

and Adams counters with a crisp one two that drops Davy! Adams thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Davy to his feet! Davy is in big trouble!
Adams swats away the attempt to clinch by Davy.
Davy looks for a takedown but Adams sprawls well.
Adams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Adams wants it to stay on the feet.
Davy is breathing heavily.
Adams shoots in looking for a takedown. Davy tries to sprawl out of it but Adams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Davy tries for a takedown but Adams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Adams tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davy swivels and escapes.

Oooooh!!! Adams has knocked Davy down with a huge combo! Adams steps away and waves a wobbly Davy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Adams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Adams somewhat.
Adams goes for a double leg but Davy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Davy continues to drive forward.
Davy throws a head kick that misses

and Adams moves into the clinch.
Adams wants to break free but Davy has control.
Adams presses Davy against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Adams pulls guard effortlessly.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davy is looking to work some ground and pound but Adams has wrist control.
Davy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Adams is keeping the position for now.

Adams is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Adams pulls Davy in to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adams can do anything to dispel that myth.
Davy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Adams throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Davy escapes and throws Adams's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Davy wants to control but Adams is keeping him busy.

Davy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davy working away.
Davy postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Davy stands up.
Davy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Adams sprawls well. Adams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davy gets slowly back to his feet.
Adams is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Adams throws a one two combo.
Davy shoots and misses

and Adams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Adams.
Adams keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Davy's efforts to push away.
Adams stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Adams is trying to force a seperation but Davy has the dominant position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Adams dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Clem Davy's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Adams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davy is fending him off so far but Adams persists. Nope, Davy circles away and we're back to standing.

and Adams counters by moving into the clinch.
Davy fails to pull guard.
Davy working hard to break the clinch.
Adams lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Davy missing with knees to the body.
Adams is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Adams drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Clem Davy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Adams.

Adams fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Davy, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Adams lands a left hand that snaps the head of Davy backwards.

Adams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Davy has him pressed against the cage.
Davy is working for takedown but Adams is calmly controlling the position for now.
Davy wants a takedown but no success here.

Adams decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Davy escapes and throws Adams's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Adams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Adams is breathing heavily.
Adams is trying to escape the position but Davy is controlling the position.
Davy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Adams reaches up around Davy's neck trying to control. But Davy takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Adams! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Adams is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Davy celebrates the victory with the fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Clem Davy!
