Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Alex (ranked 7087 p4p, 3516 weight class) and Crash Clip Nit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alex misses with a double jab.
Clip Nit takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Alex uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Clip Nit.
A punch combination from Alex misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Clip Nit! But no joy.
Clip Nit scores with a sloppy right hand. Alex should have avoided that one.
Alex ducks under a wild hook from Clip Nit.
Clip Nit lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Alex misses with a wild combination.
The fighters circling - Clip Nit throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clip Nit throws a shot from downtown. Alex moves away and avoids it.
Clip Nit lands the left hand.

Alex tries to score a power double leg takedown but Clip Nit sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alex somewhat.

Alex will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Alex went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Joshua Alex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alex lands a jab-cross combination.
Alex uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Clip Nit.
Clip Nit misses with a looping right.
Alex misses with a double jab.
Clip Nit might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Alex lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Clip Nit backs up against the cage.
Alex tries a head kick but it misses.

Clip Nit looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Alex dives in for a single leg takedown but Clip Nit sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Clip Nit lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alex backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Clip Nit manages to break the clinch.
Clip Nit lunges at Alex with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alex's hand.
Alex walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Alex shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Clip Nit as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Alex. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alex moves forwards but Clip Nit connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Oh Alex is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clip Nit cracks Alex on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Alex falls backwards against the cage. Clip Nit follows up with more strikes that drop Alex to his knees. Clip Nit keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Alex! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Crash Clip Nit!
