Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bro Ham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brett Eibner! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ham gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Eibner to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ham keeping full guard, as Eibner tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eibner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ham is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ham might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Eibner wants to pass the guard but Ham is keeping the position. Ham is looking for a triangle but Eibner pushes his legs off easily.
Ham wants to get back to his feet but Eibner is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ham utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Eibner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ham is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Eibner defends well. Ham keeping moving, preventing Eibner from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eibner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ham's head. Ham controls Eibner momentarily but Eibner frees himself. Eibner slips nicely into half guard. Eibner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ham's head. Eibner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Eibner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ham knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Eibner is looking for a kimura but Ham is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Eibner to get the leverage. Eibner missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ham is looking for a sweep. Eibner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ham works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ham is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ham looking to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ham throws a series of punches but Eibner avoids them all with ease.

Bro Ham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ham thows a body shot but no joy. Ham misses with a looping left. Eibner steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ham. Eibner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ham pinned against the cage. Ham gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Eibner missing with a left hand there. Ham was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Eibner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ham thuds his right hand into Eibner's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Ham jabs at Eibner's body. Ham loads up on a big right hand but Eibner slips the punch. Eibner is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ham swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Eibner. Ham dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Eibner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ham. Ham clobbers Eibner with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ham connects with a looping right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ham ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Eibner looks gassed! Left hook, right uppercut from Ham.
Eibner is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ham drops Eibner with a big left hand! Eibner is injured, injured bad! Ham jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
