Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Parker (ranked 2038 p4p, 2592 weight class) and Leonardo Nascimento (ranked 280 p4p, 353 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nascimento's choice of entrance music: Jiu-Jitsu, Arte Suave Milenar . This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leonardo Nascimento!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nascimento has a takedown stuffed.
Parker scores with a one two! Nascimento had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Parker fails to land with a series of punches.
Nascimento clinches up with Parker and pushes him back against the cage.
Nascimento tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Parker's elbow.
Parker taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Nascimento escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nascimento gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The referee calls for Parker to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parker is trying to stall.
Nascimento has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Parker is trying to keep an underhook but Nascimento manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Nascimento must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Parker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nascimento gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've been hearing good reports from Parker's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nascimento has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Parker to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nascimento is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Parker pulls down on the head and he's put Nascimento to sleep! This one is all over!
