Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Silva.
Silva dives in and grabs Bill's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bill pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A clash of legs there as Silva blocks the low kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Silva, as that shot connected.
Silva on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bill. Bill obviously looking to wear him down.
Silva blocks the body kick.
Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bill.
Bill shoots and misses
letting Silva counter with a right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bill with a lazy takedown attempt
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bill looks to clinch
and Bill is countered with a crisp right hand from Silva that sends him to the canvas! Silva follows him to the mat into side control.
Bill is rocked!
Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bill knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Oh Bill is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva controlling the position.
Bill seems to have got his legs back now.

Silva tries to advance to mount but can't.
Bill wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bill is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silva off and has taken his back!

Bill is trying to stick to Silva's back but Silva is turning into Bill. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bill's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Silva.
Bill controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Bill is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva passes into half guard.
Silva moves nicely into side control.
Silva has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bill!

Silva looking to control and managing it successfully.
Silva wants to finish this one by submission but Bill is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Silva.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to control but Bill wriggling away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Silva unloads with some shots from mount but Bill bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wanderlei Silva dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva misses with a wild body shot.
Bill tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva throws a right and a left that Bill avoids nicely.
Silva avoids the head kick by Bill.
Bill misses with a straight right.
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bill moves away.
Bill fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
Bill misses the body punch
and Silva counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Bill counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that.

Silva has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bill should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Silva has tightened it up now! Bill should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
