Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taek Jo Lee (ranked 6929 p4p, 5064 weight class) and Frank Destroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taek Jo Lee has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taek Jo Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Destroy! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Destroy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat. Lee has been working on his balance at Hectors Hitters, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Destroy. Destroy lands a big right hand that sends Lee crashing to the mat! Destroy stays standing though and waves Lee back to his feet!
It looks like Taek Jo Lee has been cut. Lee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee taking a breather here. Lee landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Destroy seems a little lost for a moment, as Lee dominates the positioning. Destroy tries to buck Lee off but Lee is having none of it. Lee slows the pace down.

Destroy is trying to work for a sweep but Lee has mounted him! Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lee content just to control the position here. Lee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Lee. Lee continues to hold on tight. Destroy in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Destroy tries to hold on but Lee postures up. Lee takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lee content just to control the position here. Lee's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Destroy throws out a loose jab but Lee uses good head movement to avoid it. Taek Jo Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Destroy pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lee closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lee lands in his opponent's guard. Lee is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lee won't allow Destroy to sweep him here. Lee content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Lee closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Destroy did well to prevent Lee getting side control. Lee controlling his opponent. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Taek Jo Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lee looking to control and managing it successfully.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Destroy is looking for a sweep. Lee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee working over Destroy with some ground and pound. Destroy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Destroy wants to get back to full guard. Lee content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Destroy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lee jumps into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee is putting a hurting on Destroy here, landing some big shots from side control. Lee controlling from side mount. Lee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Destroy for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lee working the ground and pound. Destroy tries to buck Lee off but Lee is having none of it. Lee just content to control the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Check out the look on Lee's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Lee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Destroy defends well and Lee ends up having to push Destroy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Destroy misses with some punches.

Destroy wants to break free but Lee has control.
Destroy is trying to break the clinch but Lee is controlling him. Destroy scores with a shot to the side of Lee's head. Destroy has had enough of the clinch but Lee keeps him there for the moment. Destroy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Destroy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Destroy breaks from the clinch.
Destroy connects with the punch. Destroy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee. Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Destroy swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taek Jo Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Destroy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Destroy is looking to stand back up but Lee counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Destroy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lee is figuring out what he wants to do next. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Frank Destroy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Taek Jo Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Taek Jo Lee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
