Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Marley (ranked 4786 p4p, 4751 weight class) and Josef Kalous (ranked 604 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roberto Marley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josef Kalous! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalous throws a right hand that Marley ducks under and follows up with a left that Marley also avoids with ease. Kalous throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kalous misses with a series of wild punches.
Marley looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Kalous jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Marley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Marley moves into the clinch successfully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kalous has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Marley gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Kalous pushes Marley off and scrambles back to his feet.

Marley pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kalous tumbling to the mat - Marley dives into Kalous's guard. Kalous keeping full guard, as Marley tries to pass. Marley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Marley trying to move into half guard but instead Kalous has managed to sweep!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalous prevents Marley from getting back to his feet. Kalous would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Marley is working an open guard so Kalous takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kalous closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kalous looks winded! Kalous dips to his left and cracks Marley with an uppercut! Marley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kalous on his heels. He'll look to pass Kalous's guard now, I'm sure. Marley passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kalous gets tackled into the cage by Marley. Marley maintains the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Marley is trying to drag Kalous to the mat but Kalous just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Josef Kalous showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Kalous cracks Marley with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Marley tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kalous counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kalous cracks Marley with an open hand slap. Kalous lands with a shot to the body. Marley goes for a double leg but Kalous avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kalous continues to drive forward. Marley scores with a knee to the head.

Kalous wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marley has him pressed against the cage. Kalous lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Marley backwards. Marley crunches a lovely knee into Kalous's ribcage. Marley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kalous is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kalous is trying to break free. That's four minutes gone in the round. Marley rushes Kalous and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marley tries to pull guard but Kalous won't allow it.

Marley on the wrong end of a nice jab. Josef Kalous is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kalous throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Marley on the side of the head. Kalous scores with a crisp jab that stopped Marley in his tracks. Marley looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
