Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ace Dudley (ranked 2291 p4p, 2619 weight class) and Calogero Verdi (ranked 309 p4p, 359 weight class). Verdi has chosen CHAMPION as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Calogero Verdi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ace Dudley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ace Dudley!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Calogero Verdi!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudley misses with a takedown attempt
and Verdi counters with a nice uppercut.
Dudley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Verdi.
Verdi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dudley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Verdi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It seemed like Verdi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Verdi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Verdi misses with a hook. Dudley ducked under it nicely.
Verdi takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Ace Dudley has been cut.
Dudley walks into a straight right hand from Verdi.
Dudley is rocked!
Dudley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Oh Dudley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Calogero Verdi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dudley glances at the clock... BAM! Verdi nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Dudley crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Dudley is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Calogero Verdi!

Calogero Verdi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
