Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Zac Tan (ranked 3644 p4p, 6192 weight class) and Rien Aerts (ranked 513 p4p, 0 weight class). Tan comes to the cage accompanied by Thunder. Big Zac Tan had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Big Zac Tan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rien Aerts! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aerts uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Tan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tan is staying tight to Aerts's torso, preventing him from escaping. Tan advances nicely into full mount. Tan controlling from mount. Tan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Aerts for as long as he can get away with.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A lazy left from Aerts finds it's target. Aerts fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Tan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aerts is trying to defend but Tan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Tan passes to full mount! Tan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aerts is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Tan content just to control the position here.

Tan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aerts tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tan is in Aerts's guard. Aerts can't keep his opponent in guard - Tan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tan is figuring out what he wants to do next. Tan continues to hold on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tan passes to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tan staying calm. Tan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aerts can do to turn this around? You can see the frustration on Aerts's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tan controlling the pace for now. Big Zac Tan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Big Zac Tan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
