Biernat is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ballroom Blitz. Mateusz Biernat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Backman does no damage.
Backman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Backman lands a head kick. Biernat smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Backman gets tackled into the ropes by Biernat. Biernat maintains the clinch.
Backman is trying to push Biernat away but Biernat has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Backman breaks from the clinch.
Mateusz Biernat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Backman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Biernat.
Biernat tries to clinch there but Backman circles away.
Backman throws a series of punches but Biernat moves out of range.

and Backman counters with a series of strikes. Biernat will be more careful next time no doubt.

It looked like Backman was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Biernat wants to clinch up but Backman keeps it at a distance.

Backman connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Biernat's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Biernat - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
