Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jen Mullins (ranked 4810 p4p, 4910 weight class) and Colton Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jen Mullins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Colton Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullins misses with a wild combination.

Mullins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mullins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jenkins is defending well.
Mullins jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jenkins walks away with a smile on his face. Mullins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jenkins fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mullins tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jenkins counters with a three punch combo that has Mullins backing up. Mullins nods at Jenkins to acknowledge the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mullins as he avoids it easily.
Jenkins has a takedown stuffed.

Mullins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jenkins's guard.

Mullins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jenkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mullins has managed to get both his arms back between Jenkins's legs - danger averted.
Mullins content to stall in guard here.
Mullins is working Jenkins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mullins stands up from Jenkins's guard - Mullins perhaps looking for a knockout.

Jenkins closes the distance and clinches.
Mullins is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Jenkins steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mullins.

Mullins moves into the clinch.

Mullins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mullins tries to clinch up but Jenkins circles away and keeps his distance.
Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mullins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jenkins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jenkins bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Mullins misses with a low kick.
Mullins scores with a jab.

Mullins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mullins is in Jenkins's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mullins's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jenkins trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Mullins stays in close to Jenkins's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mullins gets to his feet. Jenkins looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jenkins shoots in and drives through. Mullins sprawls well.
As Jenkins tries to get set, Mullins tries to push him back and clinch up but Jenkins manages to avoid the attempt.
Jenkins looks winded!

Jenkins with a jab.
Mullins goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jenkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jenkins tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Jenkins tries to sprawl but Mullins drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mullins keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!

Mullins throws a body punch but Jenkins moves out of range.
Mullins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jenkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mullins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jenkins's guard.
Mullins tries to stand but Jenkins is controlling from the bottom.

Mullins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jenkins for as long as he can get away with.

Mullins decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Mullins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jenkins is trying to defend but Mullins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jenkins has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mullins is on him like a limpet, forcing Jenkins back against the cage.
Mullins lands a body punch.
Jenkins wants a takedown.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.

Mullins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mullins throws a body kick that misses.
Mullins misses with a series of wild punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jenkins tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mullins defends well and Jenkins ends up having to push Mullins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mullins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mullins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jenkins can do to turn this around?

Mullins postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jenkins to stand up.

Mullins clinches up with Jenkins and pushes him back against the cage.

Mullins has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jenkins clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mullins lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Jenkins.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jenkins is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Mullins.
Mullins punishes Jenkins with strikes from the back mount.

Mullins is working the ground and pound. Can Jenkins escape?

Mullins is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jenkins is defending well though. Mullins let's go of the attempt for now.

Mullins is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Jenkins is tapping out! This one is all over!
