Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Ramirez (ranked 6846 p4p, 5740 weight class) and Bruno Sultan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno Sultan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sultan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ramirez sprawls well. Ramirez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sultan gets slowly back to his feet.

Sultan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ramirez on his heels. He'll look to pass Ramirez's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ramirez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sultan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramirez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ramirez jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sultan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sultan and Ramirez has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Ramirez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sultan has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ramirez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sultan shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez shows good takedown defense.

Ramirez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sultan did well to prevent Ramirez getting side control.

Ramirez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sultan for as long as he can get away with.

Sultan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sultan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ramirez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ramirez shoots in and gets a takedown into Sultan 's guard.

Ramirez passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sultan !
Ramirez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ramirez has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sultan 's body.

Ramirez working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Sultan is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Ramirez has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Sultan taps out!
