The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mongol shoots for a takedown but Fjera saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
It looked like Fjera wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Fjera counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fjera.
Fjera lands a left hand.
Mongol tries to pull guard but Fjera holds him up against the cage and eventually Mongol drops back down to his feet.
Jodi Joe Fjera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loki Mongol.

Fjera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mongol is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fjera's half guard.
