The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tzu throws a right hand that misses

and Soza counters with a nice right hand that sends Tzu toppling to the canvas! Tzu scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Soza finish him?!

It looks like Xiao Tzu has been cut.
Soza looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Soza takes one to the side of the head.
Tzu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tzu connects with a body shot that sends Soza's belly button to the back.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Soza darts in and clinches Tzu up against the cage.

Soza has picked Tzu up - he's going for a ride! Soza dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Tzu scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Soza manages to mount him!
Tzu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Soza controlling the pace for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tzu is working to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soza lands a nice shot to the head.
Soza lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That has opened up Xiao Tzu's cut even more.

Soza looking to isolate an arm here. Tzu doesn't see it coming and as Soza extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Soza!
