These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Salahuddin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Salahuddin throws a fast counter high kick but Young manages to duck under it in time.
Salahuddin is looking to clinch but Young is avoiding it.
Salahuddin throws a head kick but Young moves out of range.
Salahuddin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Young moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Young escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Young closes the distance and clinches.

Salahuddin misses with a head kick.

Young seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Salahuddin fails with a takedown attempt.

Young tries to throw a body punch but Salahuddin avoids it by throwing Young back against the cage.

Young throws a series of strikes that have Salahuddin backpedaling.
Young avoids the head kick by Salahuddin.
Salahuddin gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Salahuddin tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Young is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Salahuddin buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Salahuddin!! Salahuddin is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Young throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Young!
