With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcin Cutlas!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws out a loose jab but Cutlas uses good head movement to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cutlas! But no joy.

Cutlas moves into the clinch.

Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diaz throws a body punch but Cutlas moves out of range.
Cutlas tries to clinch but Diaz moves out of range.
Cutlas staying out of range there.
Cutlas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diaz paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Diaz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cutlas avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cutlas fails with an attempt to clinch.

Diaz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Diaz lands with an uppercut that bounces Cutlas off the cage and back into range.
Diaz lands a really nice looking cross but Cutlas seems unphased.
Marcin Cutlas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz connects with a crisp jab.
Cutlas gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Diaz.
Cutlas is looking to clinch but Diaz is avoiding it.
A quick step to the side and Diaz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cutlas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Diaz cracks a nice hook into Cutlas's ribs.

Cutlas forces Diaz back against the cage and clinches.

Diaz gets tackled into the cage by Cutlas. Cutlas maintains the clinch.

Cutlas swings wildly with an uppercut but Diaz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cutlas scores with a shot to the side of Diaz's head.

Diaz breaks the clinch.
Cutlas moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off.
Cutlas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice jab there from Diaz.

Nice straight punches there by Diaz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Diaz.

Diaz is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Cutlas takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Cutlas is rocked!
Cutlas wants to clinch but Diaz slips to the side
and Diaz counters with a huge left! Cutlas is in big trouble! He's backing up but Diaz isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Cutlas from any more damage. A dominating finish by Diaz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dick Diaz!
After the fight, Dick Diaz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
