The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia throws a hook to the side of Bronson's head but Bronson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bronson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Maia has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bronson scores with a shot to the body.
Bronson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bronson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maia was well out of range. Poor timing from Bronson.
Maia takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bronson.
Maia appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bronson fails to land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bronson looks to land a combination but Maia avoids it well.

Bronson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Maia momentarily.

Bronson lands a nice shot that snaps Maia's head back.
