Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mister Man (ranked 3335 p4p, 3350 weight class) and Mason Marmot (ranked 0 p4p, 443 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marmot moves into the clinch successfully.
Marmot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Marmot shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Man wants to get back to full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Marmot working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Man is pressing down on Marmot 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Man is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marmot is one step ahead there.

and Man counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Some bone on bone action there as Marmot checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Marmot flicks out a counter leg kick but Man steps away.

Mister Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Marmot .
Horrible takedown attempt by Marmot or perhaps it was just good defense by Man, which made it look bad.
Man was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Man scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mason Marmot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man lands with a right hand.
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Man looks to land a left hand but Marmot moved out of range nicely.
Marmot changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Marmot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Man counters with a nice double leg into side control. Marmot won't be happy with that.
Marmot wants to get back to his feet but Man is dominant here and he's now got Marmot 's back!

Man is trying to stick to Marmot 's back but Marmot is turning into Man. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Man's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Marmot .

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man has momentary wrist control but Marmot slips an elbow through the middle.

Man manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Marmot manages to get himself to full guard.

Man looks for the body kick but Marmot saw that one coming.
Marmot moves in looking to clinch but Man pushes him off.
Man half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Marmot wants to stand back up but Man manages to pass into side control.

Man is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Marmot defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Marmot rolls, trying to escape but Man keeps control of the position.

Marmot is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Man throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Marmot !

Man scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Marmot is looking for a way out.
Man has Marmot flattened out and is raining down punches.
Marmot looking very determined here, making life difficult for Man.
