Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kidney Stone (ranked 840 p4p, 2300 weight class) and Tae Shik Cha (ranked 89 p4p, 234 weight class). Stone comes to the cage accompanied by Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppord. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cha's choice of entrance music: Gaullin - Moonlight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kidney Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tae Shik Cha! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cha pushing out the jab but it's not landing. An attempted straight right counter from Stone misses the target. Cha throws a big shot that misses. Cha loads up on a big right hand but Stone slips the punch. Cha looks to score with a jab to the body but Stone is just out of range. Stone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A jab from Cha finds it's way through Stone's defenses. Cha looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Stone moves out of range as Cha strikes. Stone throws a looping overhand right but Cha ducks down to avoid it. Good exchange - Cha coming out on top. Stone ducks under a wild hook from Cha. Cha has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Stone. Cha looks to throw the jab but Stone is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cha connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stone's hands. Stone avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Stone was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Stone is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Stone comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stone tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cha is able to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cha closes the distance looking to clinch and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cha might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Stone fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A big right from Cha misses. Stone's corner calls for a 1-2. Stone obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Cha moves to clinch but Stone breaks away letting Stone counter with a right hand. Cha tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cha scores with a jab. Cha scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Cha stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Stone is rocked! Cha throws a poor cross that misses
and Stone finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Oh Stone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cha throws a hook but Stone avoids it easily. Stone seems to have got his legs back now.

and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand! Stone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Cha closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Cha defending well as Stone loads up on a big left hand. Cha lands a really nice looking cross but Stone seems unphased.

and Stone counters with a slapping leg kick. Cha misses with a looping left. Cha wants to clinch. It looked like Stone was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cha.

and Stone counters with a thumping low kick. Cha looks to score with a jab to the body but Stone is just out of range. Cha fails in his attempt to clinch. Cha is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Stone had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Stone lands with a right hand. Stone swings away with a leg kick that misses. Stone tries to score with a low kick but Cha moves his leg out of the way. Stone ducks under a wild hook from Cha. Cha uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Cha throws a lazy right hand but Stone sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Stone went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Cha lands a jab to the nose. Cha throws an off balance right hand
and Stone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Stone lands a nice looking kick to the body. Cha takes a step back to recover. Cha throws a poor cross that misses
and Cha takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A big left from Cha misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cha manages to avoid it. Cha doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Cha keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cha misses with a hook. Stone slips a jab from Cha. Cha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stone was well out of range. Poor timing from Cha. Cha looks to land a left hand but Stone moved out of range nicely. Cha fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stone, pushing him back against the cage. Cha scores with a nice hook to the head. Cha can't find room to land a body shot as Stone controls the action.

Cha lands with a light punch inside. Cha tries to work over Stone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stone blocks an uppercut.

Cha pushes Stone up against the cage in a clinch. Cha pushes Stone back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Cha lands a hook that snaps the head of Stone backwards. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cha. Stone lands with a light punch inside. Stone blocking some punches.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cha cracks Stone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Stone scores with a head kick.
Cha tries to close the distance and clinch but Stone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cha misses with an uppercut. Cha misses with a wild body shot. Stone throws a leg kick but Cha checks it. Cha looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Stone appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Cha tries to clinch but fails miserably and Stone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Stone throws a right and a left that Cha avoids nicely. Tae Shik Cha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cha closes the distance but Stone moves to the side and Stone counters with a nice uppercut. Cha throws a poor cross that misses
and Stone counters with a nice uppercut. Stone on the wrong end of a nice hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cha throws a jab when Stone was well out of range. Cha throws a jab but it's blocked by Stone. Cha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stone moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cha moves in looking to clinch but Stone pushes him off. Cha on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Cha swings and misses with a shot to the body and Stone counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Cha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stone appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Cha slips under a jab. Stone slips under a jab from Cha. Stone throws a body shot but no joy. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cha misses with a straight right. Cha throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kidney Stone will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Stone avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cha looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kidney Stone. I think Stone has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
