Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christ Benoit (ranked 2505 p4p, 5620 weight class) and Kabala Magaluff (ranked 357 p4p, 626 weight class). Benoit's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Amazing Grace. Magaluff has chosen Shalom as his entrance music. Kabala Magaluff has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Benoit.
Magaluff shoots in looking for a takedown. Benoit tries to sprawl out of it but Magaluff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Benoit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Benoit has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Marijuana Gardens in the buildup to the fight.
Benoit throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Benoit works over Magaluff's head and body with a nice combination.
Magaluff fails with a takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magaluff throws a hook but Benoit avoids it easily.
Benoit feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Magaluffs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Benoit stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Benoit wants it to stay on the feet.
Christ Benoit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kabala Magaluff.

Christ Benoit is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Magaluff throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Magaluff looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Benoit is fending him off so far but Magaluff persists. Nope, Benoit circles away and we're back to standing.
Magaluff with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Benoit to score with a decent uppercut.

Benoit keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Benoit cracks Magaluff with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Magaluff looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Benoit finish him?
Magaluff shoots in for a takedown but Benoit shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Benoit fires out a quick counter leg kick but Magaluff just manages to avoid it.

Benoit lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Benoit throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Magaluff looks winded!
Magaluff goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A knee to the head by Benoit.
Benoit is working Magaluff over against the cage.
Magaluff drops down looking for an ankle pick but Benoit pulls his leg out and moves away.
That kick from Benoit tenderised Magaluff's leg. Magaluff is trying to keep his angry face on.

Benoit has taken the fight to the clinch.
Magaluff misses with a punch to the body.
Benoit lands a hook to the side of the head.

Benoit escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Magaluff shoots and misses
and Benoit counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Benoit throws out a powerful jab.
Benoit throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Magaluff on the side of the head.

Magaluff is rocked!
Benoit throws a hook to the side of Magaluff's head but Magaluff sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Benoit connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Magaluff has his takedown stuffed

and Benoit counters with a nice right hand that sends Magaluff toppling to the canvas! Magaluff scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Benoit finish him?!
Magaluff is still on wobbly legs! Can Benoit finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Magaluff misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Benoit makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Magaluff seems to have recovered his senses.
Magaluff's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Magaluff ducks right into an uppercut from Benoit.

Benoit lands a big right hand that sends Magaluff crashing to the mat! Benoit stays standing though and waves Magaluff back to his feet!
Benoit throws a nice outside leg kick.
Magaluff switches off momentarily and Benoit cracks him with a monster right hand! Magaluff topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Benoit dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Benoit!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Christ Benoit!
An out of breath Christ Benoit thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
