Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between En Route (ranked 6369 p4p, 6301 weight class) and Azer Culumbar (ranked 477 p4p, 473 weight class). Azer Culumbar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Azer Culumbar!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Culumbar.
Culumbar swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Culumbar slips a straight right by Route.
Culumbar is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Route with a body shot.
Culumbar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Route.
Culumbar throws a nice looking combination but Route bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Route was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Route connects with an inside leg kick.
En Route seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Route lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Culumbar tries a head kick but it misses.
Route throws a looping overhand right but Culumbar ducks down to avoid it.

Culumbar tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Route manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
En Route is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

We've been told by Route's head coaches at Cloud9 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Culumbar doesn't manage to clinch there - Route circles away.
Culumbar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Route moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

It looked like Route wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Culumbar feints a jab promting Route to slip. Culumbar then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Route slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Route throws a hook but Culumbar blocks it.
Route throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Culumbar on the side of the head.

Route misses with a wild body shot.
Culumbar wants to counter the offense by Route and move into the clinch position.
Route scores with a one two! Culumbar had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Culumbar walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). En Route!
Our winner, En Route, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
