PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Bateman (ranked 4596 p4p, 4628 weight class) and Hilo Revenge (ranked 403 p4p, 408 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bateman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hip to be Square. Hilo Revenge will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Revenge displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Revenge lands with a kick to the temple. Bateman shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bateman misses with a takedown
and Revenge counters with a head kick. That will keep Bateman thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Bateman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bateman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Revenge is fending him off so far but Bateman persists. Nope, Revenge circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Revenge is looking to stand up but Bateman isn't so interested in that idea.
Revenge can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bateman controls the pace.

Revenge is looking to stand up but Bateman isn't so interested in that idea.
Revenge is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bateman wants to control from the top but Revenge keeps moving.
Bateman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Revenge's head.
Bateman cracks Revenge with a solid left hand.

Bateman postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Revenge covers up, he's hurt! Bateman keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bateman and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bateman can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
