Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Lachmann (ranked 1503 p4p, 2758 weight class) and Reilly Yates (ranked 223 p4p, 369 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ludwig Lachmann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Reilly Yates! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lachmann shoots in and drives through. Yates sprawls well. Lachmann shoots in but Yates avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lachmann definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Yates works Lachmann's body with a nice hook. Yates scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lachmann shoots in for a takedown but Yates shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ludwig Lachmann. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lachmann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lachmann scores with a takedown into Yates's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lachmann trying to control the position from guard on top but Yates is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yates throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lachmann escapes and throws Yates's legs to the side, diving into side control! Lachmann wants to control but Yates is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lachmann tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Lachmann tries for a kimura but Yates is defending well. You can see the frustration on Yates's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lachmann is trying to get an arm triangle but Yates is defending well. Lachmann tries to move into full mount but can't pass Yates's legs. Yates is trying to get back to half guard. Lachmann is looking to take a break and control but Yates is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lachmann is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yates is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lachmann tries for a kimura but Yates is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yates is looking to regain half guard here but Lachmann keeps moving and retains side control. Yates looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lachmann trying to control the action but Yates is working from the bottom. Lachmann thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lachmann is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yates is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yates is looking to reverse the position. Yates prevents Lachmann from moving into mount. Yates looks to move to half guard but instead Lachmann has passed into mount! Damn! Yates wants to control but Lachmann is having none of it. Yates is controlling an arm, preventing Lachmann from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yates is squirming around, avoiding Lachmann's attempts to control the action. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ludwig Lachmann dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Lachmann shoots for a double leg takedown but Yates sprawls well. He's pushed Lachmann's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. As Lachmann backs off Yates throws a huge counter combo but Lachmann manages to avoid it all. Lachmann is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yates can do to turn this around? Lachmann closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Yates really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lachmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lachmann passes to side control. Lachmann is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yates is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lachmann has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Yates! Yates tries to hold on but Lachmann postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lachmann is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Yates is in real trouble.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lachmann working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Yates trying to get back to his feet but Lachmann is in full control for now. Lachmann has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Yates is in real trouble here. Lachmann gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Yates is tapping out! Lachmann wins by rear naked choke!
