Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blake Phoenix!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ragnarsson's head backwards.
No joy there for Phoenix, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ragnarsson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A slow jab from Ragnarsson misses its intended target.
Phoenix will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Phoenix throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ragnarsson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ragnarsson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ragnarsson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Phoenix has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ragnarsson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ragnarsson looks to land a left hand but Phoenix moved out of range nicely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Phoenix uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ragnarsson.
Ragnarsson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Phoenix stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Phoenix throws an overhand right that lands on Ragnarsson's shoulder, as Ragnarsson tries to avoid the shot.

It looks like Blake Phoenix has been cut.
Phoenix waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ragnarsson.

Phoenix is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Phoenix gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ragnarsson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Phoenix changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Ragnarsson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ragnarsson is breathing heavily.
Phoenix finds Ragnarsson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Ragnarsson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Phoenix lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Ragnarsson will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Blake Phoenix!
