Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jewel Diaz (ranked 1129 p4p, 1900 weight class) and Lemmy Bang (ranked 123 p4p, 199 weight class). Diaz's entrance music is Andre Nickatina, Drought Season. A fine choice. Bang has chosen Hold On Be Strong as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jewel Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lemmy Bang!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang misses with an uppercut.
Jab by Bang.

Bang gets caught flat footed, as Diaz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Diaz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bang looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Our spies down at at Punch Out Gym inform us that Bang has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Bang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bang is pulling down on Diaz's head to control his posture.

We've been hearing that Diaz has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bang is looking for a triangle but Diaz pushes his legs off easily.

Diaz keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bang's head.
Diaz is looking to work some ground and pound but Bang has wrist control.

Bang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Diaz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bang isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Diaz stacks Bang on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Diaz!
Bang takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bang wants to control but Diaz postures up.
Diaz trying to control the action but Bang is working from the bottom.
Diaz working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Bang is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jewel Diaz dominated that round.

Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bang catches Diaz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lemmy Bang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diaz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bang's guard.
Diaz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Diaz creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bang sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Bang sneaks back into half guard.

Bang is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diaz pulls his head out easily.
Bang wants to control but Diaz is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Diaz working over Bang with some ground and pound. Bang looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Diaz winds up and cracks Bang with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bang is trying to control but can't.

Bang is trying to control Diaz's posture but Diaz avoids it.
Bang is looking to reverse the position.
Bang is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Diaz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
A big shot lands for Diaz! That's hurt Bang! Will he recover? Diaz fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jewel Diaz!
Jewel Diaz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
