The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winchester looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for OG! OG looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Winchester cracks OG with a big right hand but OG just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
OG takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
It looks like Triple OG has been cut. We've been hearing good reports from Winchester's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winchester works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winchester slows the pace down. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if OG can do anything to dispel that myth. Winchester lands some shots froms side control.
OG is rocked! Winchester lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt OG! Winchester senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put OG out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dean Winchester! Dean Winchester decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
