Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phol Mfer (ranked 3506 p4p, 3087 weight class) and Daizen Kuroda (ranked 484 p4p, 433 weight class). Phol Mfer is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Phol Mfer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daizen Kuroda! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mfer looks to score with a jab to the body but Kuroda is just out of range. Kuroda's coach down at EFC Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kuroda's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kuroda ducks under a wild hook from Mfer. Nice sprawl there from Mfer as Kuroda shoots in. A big left from Mfer misses. Kuroda throws a lazy uppercut
and Mfer counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kuroda is defended easily by Mfer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuroda keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mfer. Kuroda with a lazy takedown attempt and Mfer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Phol Mfer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daizen Kuroda. Kuroda throws an off balance right hand
and Mfer counters with a lovely shot to the body. A slow jab from Mfer misses its intended target. Mfer loads up on a big right hand but Kuroda slips the punch. Kuroda wants to counter the offense by Mfer and move into the clinch position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mfer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kuroda misses with a left hand and Mfer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kuroda blocks a jab. Mfer misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kuroda counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kuroda trying to control the position from guard on top but Mfer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mfer wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuroda tries to free his leg and advance position but Mfer is retaining full guard. Kuroda wants to control from the top but Mfer keeps moving. Mfer pulls Kuroda in close to prevent any damage. Mfer keeping moving, preventing Kuroda from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. The fighters circling - Mfer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kuroda lands a head shot. Mfer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kuroda sees it coming and avoids it easily. Mfer throws out a loose jab but Kuroda uses good head movement to avoid it. Kuroda scores with a decent looking hook. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kuroda misses the jab. Mfer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kuroda was well out of range. Poor timing from Mfer. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Phol Mfer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Mfer misses with a hook. Kuroda ducked under it nicely. Kuroda staying out of range there. Kuroda feints the counter takedown. Mfer throws a hook but Kuroda blocks it. Some wild striking there from Mfer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mfer throws a looping overhand right but Kuroda ducks down to avoid it. A swing and a miss from Kuroda. Mfer swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Mfer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kuroda can do to turn this around?

Mfer slips under a jab from Kuroda. Mfer was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kuroda takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mfer throws a jab when Kuroda was well out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Mfer. Kuroda does a little dance to reset his feet. Kuroda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mfer was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kuroda looks to land a left hand but Mfer moved out of range nicely. Mfer throws a lazy right hand but Kuroda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kuroda throws a hook to the side of Mfer's head but Mfer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mfer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kuroda has time to react. A jab from Mfer misses. Kuroda defending well as Mfer loads up on a big left hand. Kuroda steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mfer. Mfer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kuroda. Mfer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mfer slaps away a takedown attempt from Kuroda, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuroda looks to land a left hand but Mfer moved out of range nicely. Mfer is looking to counter punch. Sloppy strikes from Mfer. Those never looked like landing. It seemed like Kuroda was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kuroda misses with a looping right. An attempted straight right counter from Mfer misses the target. Mfer connects with the punch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mfer connects with a crisp jab. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mfer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kuroda. Kuroda takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Mfer slips under a jab. Mfer throwing a counter right hand but Kuroda manages to avoid it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Mfer throws an off balance right hand

What's Mfer going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Kuroda has hold of Mfer's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mfer tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kuroda cranks the arm and Mfer screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mfer, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
