Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Longchain (ranked 2443 p4p, 2666 weight class) and Rodney Farva (ranked 292 p4p, 328 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Longchain jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A countering left hand to the body from Farva misses.
Longchain scores with a jab. Farva acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Farva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Longchain throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Farva was covering up waiting for the punch and Longchain finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Farva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We've been hearing that Longchain has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

We've been informed that Farva has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

It seemed like Farva was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Farva counters with a right hand that sends Longchain tumbling to the canvas! Can Farva finish him? He dives into Longchain's guard looking to do just that!

Oh Longchain is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Farva gets to his feet and stands over Longchain, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Longchain felt that one! Farva unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Longchain from any more punishment!

A relieved looking Rodney Farva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
