Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David House (ranked 4956 p4p, 3735 weight class) and Pat Poutine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David House! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pat Poutine! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! House tries to clinch but Poutine is having none of it. Poutine looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! House misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sloppy strikes from House. Those never looked like landing. Poutine dodges the punch combination from House.
House throws a right hand that Poutine ducks under and follows up with a left that Poutine also avoids with ease. Poutine gets in close and instigates a clinch. House manages to break the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Poutine has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - House looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Poutine lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. House throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Poutine tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. House is in Poutine's guard. Poutine wriggles free and stands up.

Trouble for Poutine! House sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. House wants to control the pace but Poutine is squirming around nicely. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. House controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. House trying to control but he's not successful this time. Poutine is in a horrible position here. House smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. House lands a nice shot to the head. House controlling from the full mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. House jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Poutine manages to avoid the submission attempt. House trying to control the action but Poutine is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Poutine's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. House thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
David House dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. House tries for a takedown but Poutine sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. House tries to clinch up but Poutine circles away and keeps his distance. Poutine wants to counter with a clinch but House pushes him away. House dives in and scores a takedown into Poutine's guard. House looking to pass the guard. Poutine has a closed guard, preventing House from standing up. House pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Poutine is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. House decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Poutine, up you get! Poutine misses with a takedown attempt and House counters with a straight right hand. Poutine is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poutine leaves House with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - House looks like he's thinking about clinching though. House shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Poutine eats them both and turns towards House to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Poutine is rocked! House shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Poutine as he jumps to the side. Poutine is still on wobbly legs! Can House finish him? That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David House. That's going to take a lot out of him. Poutine is looking to clinch. House looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. House is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Poutine can do to turn this around? Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with House in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. House tries to stand and escape but Poutine is controlling the position. House is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Poutine sees it coming and defends easily. House trying to control from half guard but Poutine is working away. House landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. House takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. House winds up and cracks Poutine with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. House is looking to take a break and control but Poutine is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. House wants to free his trapped foot but Poutine is holding on for dear life with his legs. House frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Poutine seems to have recovered his senses. Poutine is trying to escape the mount.
House controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. House jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Poutine manages to avoid the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. House stands up. House closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. House gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
David House dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! House fails to land the takedown. House thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Poutine if he has to take too many more of those.
House tries to close the distance and clinch up but Poutine swats him away and circles back towards the center. House forces Poutine back against the cage and clinches. House pulls guard. House pulls Poutine in to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poutine postures up.
House is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Poutine is aware though and is defending well. Poutine preventing the sweep. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

House is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. David House overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Poutine throwing strikes from guard but House blocks nicely. House is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Poutine trying to control the position from guard on top but House is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. House looking to hit a scissor sweep but Poutine is one step ahead there. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now House is on top in guard.
House slips nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. House is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
House trying to advance position but Poutine counters by regaining guard. House cracks Poutine with a solid left hand. House wants to control from the top but Poutine keeps moving. House engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. House advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. House passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Poutine! House content just to control the position here. House looking for a guillotine from mount but Poutine is having none of it. Pat Poutine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! David House is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! House controlling from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! David House showed his dominance in that final round. Well House has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
