Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean VanHammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Quagmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean VanHammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glenn Quagmire! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from VanHammer lands but Quagmire takes it in his stride.
It looks like Glenn Quagmire has been cut. Quagmire closes the distance and clinches. VanHammer jumps into guard, dragging Quagmire to the mat.
VanHammer looking for a sweep. Not yet VanHammer, not yet. VanHammer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Quagmire. VanHammer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. VanHammer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Quagmire has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Quagmire stands and throws VanHammer's legs to the side, diving into side control.

VanHammer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. VanHammer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Quagmire's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Quagmire's back! Quagmire tries to roll but VanHammer sticks to his back.
Quagmire looks gassed! Good control from VanHammer. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. VanHammer scores with punches and elbows.

VanHammer drops an elbow to the side of Quagmire's head. VanHammer gets to his feet - back to striking we go! VanHammer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Quagmire. VanHammer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Quagmire is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, VanHammer seems content to control. Quagmire is trying to maintain the position but VanHammer is very close to passing his half guard. Quagmire misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. VanHammer throws a leg kick which misses Quagmire's front leg but catches the back leg as Quagmire tries to avoid it. VanHammer moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

VanHammer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. VanHammer forces Quagmire back against the cage and clinches. VanHammer pulls guard effortlessly. VanHammer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. VanHammer is adopting a defensive guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Quagmire trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Quagmire is keen to just control but VanHammer is a slippery customer.
