Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ulysses Blazkov (ranked 38 p4p, 174 weight class) and Sunray Spike (ranked 6 p4p, 36 weight class). Blazkov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Me And The Devil. Spike has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ulysses Blazkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sunray Spike!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blazkov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Spike ducks under a wild hook from Blazkov.
Blazkov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Spike avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Blazkov lands an overhand right.
Blazkov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Spike. That one must have hurt.
Blazkov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spike tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Blazkov counters with a stiff right hand.
Blazkov connects with a single shot there.
Blazkov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Spike rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Blazkov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Spike throws a sloppy head kick and Blazkov moves out of range easily.
Blazkov avoids a kick to the body.
Good standup being displayed there by Blazkov as he connects with a hook.
Blazkov misses with a head kick.
Blazkov misses with a left hand
and Spike counters with a series of strikes. Blazkov will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Blazkov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Spike avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Blazkov cracks Spike with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Spike tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Blazkov pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Spike is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ulysses Blazkov!
Ulysses Blazkov was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
